I Gym Accident Sets Mary Westray Fire at Chenoa High Clinton Queen CHENOA (PNS) There was no flame and damage was only slight from a fire at the Chenoa High School gymnasium about 4 p.m. Friday. A light bulb in the gym ceiling was hit by a ball and pushed against the ceiling, setting it on fire. The ceiling was charred. Since school was out, there were no pupils in the classrooms at the time of the fire.

Pantagraph, Bloomington, October-10, 1964. 6 I Fire Leads to Death Of Chenoa Man CHENOA (PNS) Orville Louis Ehrhardt, 58, a farmer near Chenoa, died of an apparent heart attack in the barnyard of the William Harrison farm two miles east and three miles south of Chenoa at 12:10 p.m. Friday. Mr. Ehrhardt was driving his tractor and cornpicker down the road when it caught fire.

He was running on the way to get help when he fell and died almost immediately. The fire was caused by a short in the battery cable in the tractor. Both it and the cornpicker were on fire. Damage was confined to the wiring and the finish, Chenoa Fire Chief Clyde Boles said. Funeral Sunday Mr.

Ehrhardt's funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. William Ufkes officiating. Burial will be in the Chenoa Cemetery. Visitation begins at 4 p.m.

Father Deceased His father preceded him in death. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He had farmed near Chenoa all his active life. The family suggests that anyone wishing to make tangible expression of sympathy contribute to the Trinity Lutheran building fund.

Odell Man Bears Brunt Of Accident PONTIAC (PNS) It was the driver of the car who got the ticket as well as the injury in a collision between his vehicle and a truck. The car was demolished. There was $900 estimated damage to the truck. The aggrieved party to all this, now a patient at St. James Hospital, is Ernest Donovan, 45, of R.R.

1, Odell. The accident occurred at 8:45 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 66. at the Cities Service truck, stop about a half mile north of Pontiac.

State Trooper James Phillips reported that William Bradshaw, 39, of Louisiana, pulled his truck into U.S. 66 from the truck stop and was getting ready to head south. Mr. Donovan, headed south, hit the the tandem wheels of the truck tractor. His car went into the median, rolled over and came to rest on the bank of the median.

Trooper Phillips gave Mr. ovan a ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Mr. Donovan was in good condition Friday night at St. James Hospital.

Accident Injures Four Waukeganites LINCOLN (PNS) Four persons were injured in an automobile accident at the junction of U.S. 136 and Ill. 29 west of San Jose at 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Melvin Siegfried, 36, his wife Lona, 26; daughter Victoria, 6, son David, 11 months, all of Waukegan, sustained minor injuries.

They were treated and released at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Mr. Darling for about 10 years had a hobby of clowning at state fairs, centennials and festivals. He was known as the Klown Kop. In his early years he operated a Ford agency at Roanoke and in 1907 he built his own automobile, still registered in Springfield, known as The Darling.

Mrs. Addie Page PONTIAC (PNS) Mrs. Daisy Adeline (Addie) Page, 90, of 718 N. Main, died at 9:10 p.m. Thursday at St.

James Hospital. She had been seriously ill one week. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Behrendt Funeral Home, the Rev. Crawford Harmon officiating.

Burial will be in South Side Cemetery. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today. She was born Dec. 23, 1873, in Pontiac, a daughter of Walter and Sarah Springer Hart.

She worked as a stitcher at the A. M. Legg Shoe Co. and at the Fashion-Bilt Shoe Co. until her retirement in 1951.

She was a married to Charles Page Feb. 19, 1894. He preceded her in death. Surviving are eight grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Three sons, a daughter, two brothers, a sister, a grandchild and a great-grandchild preceded her in death.

She was a member of the First Christian Church. The family suggests that tangible expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to St. James Hospital. Albert Logue CLINTON (PNS) Albert Logue, 46, an Illinois Central Railroad employe at Chicago, formerly of Clinton, was found dead in bed by his wife at 1 a.m. Thursday.

His funeral and burial will be Saturday morning in Chicago. Surviving are his wife, June; a brother, Estel, Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Anders, Chicago; his mother, Mrs. Thomas Barker, Newton. Born and reared in Clinton, he left here about 20 years ago for Chicago.

Mrs. Fred Welsh COOKSVILLE (PNS) Mrs. Fred Welsh, 66, of Glendale, a former resident of Cooksville, died Sept. 18 there after a lingering illness. Her funeral and burial were there.
