The tweezers themselves have a unique design based on the company’s patented three-disk system. The system places a fixed disk between two moving disks to ensure smoother plucking of hairs.

This is another epilator that falls in Braun’s Silk-épil5 series, but it is a bit more advanced than the previous one we reviewed. For instance, instead of 28 tweezers, this one has 40. This is excellent and only the Emjoi epilators can better it.
More tweezers are particularly beneficial because they can cover a larger area and capture more hairs. Besides, using an epilator with a larger number of tweezers will save you tons of time too.
The tweezers are mounted on an ergonomically designed, pivoting head that will move with the angles and curves on your body. This is important because it keeps the skin from being pulled and improves the performance of the epilator.
The tweezers on this epilator are backed by a High Frequency Massage System that stimulates the skin to make the hairs more accessible. Another very cool aspect of this device is that it has a built-in lighting system. This light is useful since it does the same job that headlights on your car do.
Further, the device comes with three different attachments. Two are for epilating and one is for shaving! You even get a cooling glove, although we’re sure you won’t use it a lot. That’s okay too because the cooling glove isn’t all that useful.
In terms of appearances, this epilator is quite subdued. It is primarily white with hot pink accents. We find the color scheme to be very interesting and appreciate the subtlety of the combination particularly.
This device has two speed settings and it supports the American and the European power systems. If you travel abroad a lot, this device will benefit you greatly.
However, you can’t use this device in the shower because it is not cordless. It is also heavier than most epilators and this is something that you need to be prepared for.
What could be a problem is that it misses some hairs and cuts others instead of plucking them. This could leave stubble on your body when you’re looking for smooth skin. At the same time, if you have coarse hairs, this problem could be less relevant because coarser hairs are easier to catch and remove.

Panasonic is a major player when it comes to hair and skin care. When it comes to epilators, its best offering is the ES-ED90-P. Even though Panasonic has received a lot of bad rep recently, this device is not all that bad.
It is a wet-use epilator, which means that it is cordless. Therefore, you can charge it and use it in the shower, saving yourself a lot of time. On a full charge, the device will last for 30 minutes but to get that operation time, you’ll have to charge it for an hour. What’s worse is that you can’t even use it while it is charging.
It’s tweezer count, though, is quite impressive. It boasts of 48 tweezers. The higher number of tweezers means that this device isn’t very time-consuming. The most important aspect of this device, however, is that it is more than just an epilator. It comes with six snap-on attachments, with each one serving a different purpose.
There is the primary dual disk epilation head for the majority of your epilation needs, the secondary gentle epilator for sensitive areas, a shaving head, a bikini comb, and a pedicure buffer cap for the feet.
You’ll even get to choose from three variations of this product. The most expansive, and the one we’re reviewing here, contains all the attachments mentioned above. The second variation lacks the pedicure buffer cap and the third variation is without the pedicure cap and the gentle epilator head.
The option with the least number of attachments is naturally the most affordable while the one with the most attachments is the most expensive. Each variant is also different in terms of its appearance.
The most expansive variation has a very delicate look, with its dark pink and white color combo. The least expansive one is gold and white while the middle variant is blue and white. All variants have a built-in lighting system.
Despite all its attachments, this epilator is also quite travel-friendly. It is compact and light, making it very easy to pack in your luggage. It supports all power systems and can handle 110V and 220V comfortably. Further, the company even provides a travel pouch in the pack.
The biggest problem with this device is its build quality. It doesn’t last long at all. The attachments are prone to become too lose or break while the battery stops charging in only a few months. Luckily, you can get replacement parts easily and have a two-year warranty to fall back on if something does go wrong.

It is a wet-use epilator that can be used for 40 minutes non-stop. You’ll have to charge the batteries for an hour to get that return, however. Further, you won’t be able to use it while it is being charged.
For the money you’ll spend to get this epilator, you’ll get quite a few features. For instance, the tweezer count on this device is decent with 40 tweezers at your service. This device also comes with a separate shaver head and trimmer cap.
One variant of this device even comes with an independent bikini trimmer. It is more affordable than if you were to buy a bikini trimmer separately. Therefore, if you plan to trim your bikini region, we do recommend this specific variant.
Another great feature of this epilator is its smart light system. The device lights up the area you’re trying to epilate making it easy for you to spot fine, short, and thin hairs.
Additionally, this epilator is priced quite competitively, especially if you consider that it is positioned in the premium market segment. The variant without the independent bikini trimmer is so affordable that makes this device a steal.
The cheaper variant is more colorful than the expensive one. While the variant with the bikini trimmer is all white, the other one incorporates pinkish purple accents along over a white base.
This is also fairly noisy epilator, but that doesn’t really bother us. Those of you who are sensitive to noise may find it annoying though.

This epilator has a unique distinction – its head is 40 percent bigger. Because its head is 40 percent wider, it can capture 40 percent more hairs than other “normal sized” Braun epilators. This can help greatly if you’re someone who is always in a rush.
At the same time, we feel the head could’ve been better. We feel that a wider head merits more tweezers, but Braun doesn’t seem to agree since this device has only 40 tweezers.
However, the fact that this epilator misses a few hairs as well as clip other hairs instead of pulling them from the roots shows that it needed to have more tweezers. However, epilators tend to miss thinner or finer hairs most. Therefore, if you have coarse hairs, this shouldn’t be a major problem for you.
This device also boasts of a MicroGrip tweezer technology. The technology is nothing special, but it allows the tweezers to get short hairs easily. What is impressive is the number of extras Braun is providing with this epilator.
You’ll get stuff like a shaving head supplemented by a trimmer cap, a skin contact cap, a high-frequency massage cap, and even a charging stand. We’re particularly fond of the charging stand.
Another excellent add-on is the facial brush. The facial brush is appreciated by most users of this device. It is excellent for exfoliation and will leave your skin vibrant after every use.
The device also boasts of a built-in lighting system as is the case with all Braun epilators. We especially appreciate this epilator’s appearance. It has a very appealing color scheme that combines white with that uniquely royal shade of purple.
Unfortunately, this epilator isn’t all that travel-friendly. It is bulky and insanely heavy. It is heavy enough to problematic for the majority of its users. You’ll definitely need to take breaks if you’re planning for long epilation sessions. Further, you may have trouble cleaning its head. It is also a very expensive device, but we do think that it is worth the investment.

This is another Series 9 model from Braun, which makes it a cousin of the one we reviewed above. In fact, there are a lot of similarities between this device and the 9579 model.
For example, like the other one, this model has a wider head, making it excellent if you want to save some time. The 40 percent bigger head covers a greater area in a single pass. It features the same MicroGrip Tweezer Technology too. The technology is designed to capture shorter, finer, and thinner hairs.
Like its cousin, it is also a wet-use epilator. You’ll have to charge it for an hour, but you’ll get to use it for 40 minutes after that. This device will also light your way for you and allow you to see hairs on your body that you may miss otherwise.
However, there are differences between the two models too. This one is tailored for skin care. This means its attachments are specifically useful when it comes to maintaining the skin. For instance, it has a deep massage pad which you can use to massage yourself or even someone else if required.
It also comes with two exfoliation brushes – one for deep exfoliation and the other for gentle exfoliation. Since exfoliation is an important step when it comes to epilation, these exfoliation brushes are incredibly beneficial.
The skincare attachments, however, divide opinion. Whether you like them or not depends on your personal skincare preferences and how much time you have to devote to skincare.
